Curing Agent - Chemistries

Polyamide

Reactive polyamides offer improved flexibility, excellent corrosion resistance and color stability. After curing, coatings made with these products can exhibit good bonding properties, mechanical strength and chemical resistance. Offer low toxicity and long pot life.

Typical uses: Protective coatings, Adhesives, Marine Coatings and Epoxy Flooring

Cycloaliphatic Amine

Offers excellent colour stability, good adhesion and very good chemical resistance. Can cure at low temperatures under damp conditions, with good film properties, excellent gloss, and resistance to amine blush and water-spotting. Available across a wide range of cure times and pot lives.

Typical uses: Protective coatings and Epoxy Flooring

Amidoamine

A range of amidoamines with differing reactivities and low viscosity. Exhibits very good adhesion, particularly to concrete, and cures well under humid conditions. Modified grades offer faster cure speed and improved chemical resistance.

Typical uses: Construction and Concrete applications

Waterborne Curing Agents

A range of curing agents offering different cure speeds for use with various epoxy resins. Low VOC, low color, nonflammable, and easy to clean and apply — with good adhesion to damp concrete and good abrasion resistance.

Typical uses: Coatings, Epoxy Flooring and Low-VOC applications

Phenalkamine

Based on Cardanol, a natural phenolic material derived from Cashew Nut Shell Liquid. The aromatic ring provides strong chemical resistance while the OH group delivers strong adhesion and good reactivity for fast, low-temperature cure.

Typical uses: Protective coatings, Marine coatings and Epoxy Flooring

Anhydride

Elevated-temperature cure products primarily used in electrical and composite applications. Known for long pot-life, excellent electrical insulation and outstanding thermal endurance.

Polyamine & Aliphatic Amine

A wide range of products with differing properties. High reactivity and fast cure at ambient or low temperatures, relatively moisture insensitive, with reasonable color retention and good chemical resistance, particularly to solvents.

Typical uses: Coatings, Adhesives, Composites and general-purpose applications

Aromatic Amine

Best-in-class chemical resistance and excellent mechanical properties, with a wide range of pot life and viscosities.

Typical uses: High-performance coatings and Industrial flooring

Mannich Base

Highly reactive curing agents suited for low-temperature cure — in some cases down to below 0°C. Meets demanding application requirements for epoxy use in damp and cold conditions.

Typical uses: Coatings and Construction in cold climates

Mercaptan

Polymercaptan curing agents are used in ambient-temperature rapid-cure applications. Ultra-fast cure speeds make them well suited to structural and general-purpose adhesives.

Epoxy Resin - Chemistries

Liquid

Bisphenol-A based liquid epoxy resins are used across a very wide range of applications and serve as the building blocks for various modifications to achieve customer-specific formulations.

Novolac

High-performance, higher-functionality resins. Their high cross-linked density delivers superior heat and chemical resistance. We have Phenol Novolac as well as Cresol Novolac Epoxy resins.

Typical uses: demanding chemical and thermal environments

Solid

Bisphenol-A based solid epoxy resins with high molecular weight, offering superior adhesion and flexibility compared to liquid resins. Popularly used in adhesives, powder coatings, and can and coil coatings.

Cycloaliphatic

Cycloaliphatic epoxy resins are a specialized polymer containing saturated carbon rings. It provides exceptional ultraviolet (UV) resistance, high heat tolerance, low viscosity, and superior electrical insulation compared to standard Bisphenol-A (BPA) epoxies.

Solution

Bisphenol-A based solid resins blended with solvents (xylene being the most common) to achieve lower viscosity and fast-drying properties.

Multi-functional

Multifunctional epoxy resins contain more than two epoxide groups per molecule, leading to high cross-link density. They offer superior thermal stability, chemical resistance, mechanical strength, and rigidity compared to standard difunctional epoxies.

Reactive Diluents

Low-viscosity resins used to modify standard epoxy resins, available in Mono, Di and Poly functional grades for tailored viscosity reduction.
