Champion Advanced Materials is part of the Singhania Group, which is a family business started by Late Purushottamlal Singhania in 1947.
Champion is 100% privately owned by the Singhania family.
Sushil Singhania
Sushil Singhania has 50 years of experience in the chemicals industry and has been instrumental in shaping the vision and direction of Champion Advanced Materials.
He was educated at St. Joseph’s School, North Point, Darjeeling, and St. Xavier’s School, Kolkata, before completing a Bachelor of Commerce at St. Xavier’s College in 1976. Since 1980, he has traveled extensively to China and built significant experience conducting business there — knowledge that continues to inform Champion’s approach to global markets and sourcing.
Gaurav Singhania
Gaurav Singhania brings an international business background to his role as Director at Champion Advanced Materials.
He was educated at the Cathedral & John Connon School, Mumbai, before earning a B.A. in Economics from Dartmouth College, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He went on to study at Keble College, Oxford University, and completed the Owner/President Management (OPM) programme at Harvard Business School in 2023.
Prior to joining Champion, he worked in the investment banking division of Goldman Sachs, New York, and at the Boston Consulting Group, New York. He is an active member of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) Mumbai and the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) Bombay.
